John McCain’s Arizona problem

Although little noticed by the traditional media, John McCain has a problem with his day job: He’s not doing it. Any way you measure it, McCain’s performance in the Senate during the last year has been abysmal. He has missed 400 votes, far more than any other Senator (including Tim Johnson, who’s recuperating from a brain hemorrhage).
