That’s the Democrats latest response to raising your taxes. They’re not going to miss it.

Democrats are proposing a one-half percent income tax surcharge on incomes above $500,000. Why? They’re not going to miss it. That is what the Democrats actually said!

Here is a quote I found ( www.yahoo.com ) in an article on the proposed “tax surcharge”:

“What we’re talking about is a one-half percent income tax surcharge on incomes above $1 million,” said Rep. Mike Ross, D-Ark., a leader of the Blue Dog group. “So someone who earns $2 million a year would pay $5,000. … They’re not going to miss it.”

They have since decided to add the tax surcharge to $500,000 and above income earners. They’re not going to miss it.

I didn’t realize that everyone who makes $500,000or more a year didn’t need their hard earned money. They’re not going to miss it.

Does making $1 million or more a year mean that you don’t have any debt? Does it mean you don’t have any financial obligations of any kind? They’re not going to miss it.

According to Democrats you don’t deserve to make that kind of money AND keep it…sounds kind of like Karl Marx doesn’t it?

”From each according to his ability, to each according to his need”

They’re not going to miss it.

Has the Democratic party officially adopted Karl Marx as their spokesman? Are they finally coming out of the closet and admitting to America that they are really just a front for the Communist party?

After they take the fruits of your labor what are they going to come after next? Your property? Your guns? Your Bible? Your very freedom?

Go ahead and vote for a Democrat…whatever they decide to take from you next, rest assured…they will try to convince everyone “They’re not going to miss it.”

Last I checked, this nation of ours was a constitutional republic, founded on conservative ideals and functioning economically under capitalism. Why, then is there no outcry when, for months now the democrats have been openly and emphatically espousing communist ideals? I don’t say this for shock value. Truly, the shocking part is that no one, conservative pundits included, is calling them out on their war against the basic tenets that have made American society the greatest the world has ever known.

This is scary stuff.

Communist ideals? You betcha. Turn on the TV, read a newspaper or magazine, even pick up a slimy tabloid – it’s right there – sometimes on the front page! From universal healthcare to income redistribution to higher taxes – these themes are now mainstream, even talking points – and the dissent from the right seems meek and without traction. You’ve got a problem – they’ve got a huge government program to fix it; especially if you’re in a voting block that they’re courting. Propaganda rules, it seems. It’s true that an untruth, when printed and verbalized enough, becomes a truth. That, coupled with lining the bottom of a bird cage, makes two reasons for the existence of the New York Times. State run media, anyone?

The fact that today’s democrats aren’t killing people (unless you count what they want to do to our healthcare system) doesn’t extirpate them from the communist family tree. What they ARE killing is personal responsibility. Achievement. The individual. To the leftist (democrat, communist, liberal), all of these must go; although one gets a sense that they really enjoy punishing them thoroughly first. The answer to every societal problem is government. Indeed, there is a reason the word ‘Democrat’ is included in the name of most socialist and communist countries.

In the words of William F. Buckley, conservatism is the politics of reality. Reality is that communism always fails. Reality is that communism is accompanied, in fact, utterly dependent on fear and poverty. Oh, and don’t forget the oppression against gays and other liberal protected groups it always has as a legacy. I think we can all agree that liberals wouldn’t survive five minutes in the world they yearn to engender. How many movie tickets can your average Cuban citizen afford to buy, anyway?

I’ll save secularism and the liberal penchant for losing wars for a future column.

I’ll summarize by saying that with their ideology and rhetoric directly opposed to the ideals that have made this country great, liberals are at a minimum profoundly misguided; at their worst, unabashedly anti-American. We could theorize that they have some infirmity (guilt, fear of having to get off the couch, perhaps) that causes this. Frankly, I don’t think they’re worth the office visit. Plus, under their healthcare system, they wouldn’t live long enough to get treated. Go figure.

I don’t hate Dems, I just can’t understand how anybody can be that dumb, or probably better stated, antiAmerican.

Today I am going to borrow from the old Wendy’s commercial…you know the one. It has an elderly lady looking at a scrawny hamburger and asking “Where’s the beef?”

The Democrats and Nancy Pelosi claimed they had a plan to lower the price of gas, a lot of naive American voters fell for it, so it’s past time that you produced it Nancy. America is looking at the price of gasoline and asking the Democrats and Nancy Pelosi “Where’s the plan?” Come on, it’s been two years…Where’s the plan?

Nancy, it’s been two years, prices continue to climb…no plan is in sight from you and for once your mouth is shut! Don’t get me wrong, I am normally very happy when Democrats shut up. If they aren’t talking, they aren’t lying! But I think it is past time for a gentle reminder so here it goes:

A blurb from thehill.com:

In a press release dated April 24, 2006, Pelosi said, “Democrats have a commonsense plan to help bring down skyrocketing gas prices by cracking down on price gouging, rolling back the billions of dollars in taxpayer subsidies, tax breaks and royalty relief given to big oil and gas companies, and increasing production of alternative fuels.” The letter cited policies put in place during the GOP control of Congress that the Speaker claimed had raised prices on American consumers to benefit oil companies.

So come on Nancy, where’s the plan? Show America and the world you weren’t just blowing smoke up our collective skirts! Show us your commonsense plan…common sense says you are as full of crap as a Christmas turkey.
